UPC Wind Selects APX for Power Scheduling Services

APX Hosted Services for Day Ahead and Real Time Power Scheduling Support the Leading Wind Power Developer

Santa Clara, CA - April 9, 2007 - APX, Inc., a leading provider of technology, operations and professional services for the energy and environmental markets, announced today that UPC Wind has selected APX to provide scheduling services to support sales of electric output from its 42 MW Mars Hill wind project in the Northern Maine Independent System Administrator (NMISA) control area.

APX will provide day-ahead and hour-ahead scheduling services for UPC Wind's Mars Hill wind project. Information from UPC Wind's forecasting service will be converted into a schedule, automatically mapped to the format prescribed by the NMISA, and uploaded for the following day. In addition, APX will update the day-ahead schedules with hourly forecast information for intra-day scheduling.
