Press CenterPJM Interconnection Selects APX Platform for Environmental Registry ServicesSanta Clara, CA - April 1st, 2005 - APX today announced that it has signed an agreement to assist PJM Environmental Information Systems (PJM EIS) with the development, launching and operation of the PJM Generation Attributes Tracking System (GATS). APX will provide its proprietary Generation Information System (GIS) platform, and customize it to meet the specific GATS requirements. When launched, GATS will track the entire generation across the interconnection which includes all or parts of Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia, by creating a digital certificate for each megawatt-hour of generation "Since our inception, APX has been a leader developing innovative solutions to the complexities of the energy markets," said APX Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Tom Lewis. The APX environmental registry system is a centralized certificate-based accounting and verification platform that tracks generation attributes and title for megawatts generated within a control area.
