APX Announces Industry Expert Lars Kvale to Join Its Team

Mr. Kvale Brings Proven Leadership in the Environmental Commodities and Renewable Energy Markets to APX

Santa Clara, CA - September 15, 2008 - APX, Inc., the leading infrastructure provider for environmental and energy markets, today announced that Lars Kvale, a recognized leader in the greenhouse gas reduction and renewable energy markets has joined the Company. 

Mr. Kvale will be focused on strategic program management and will assist the Company with the continued development of its environmental services business, with an emphasis on the renewable energy and greenhouse gas markets.

Prior to joining APX, Mr. Kvale was Manager of the Center for Resource Solutions’ Green-e Climate program.  In this position, he launched and managed a number of successful initiatives, including making Green-e the most widely accepted quality standard for Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) nationwide.  He also led the annual verification process for the Green-e Energy program and played an integral role in the development of greenhouse gas compliance programs used by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and in California. 

In addition, Mr. Kvale often serves a policy expert at conferences and industry events and has authored a number of articles and reports for regulatory agencies and industry organizations.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kvale worked with the California Energy Commission, where he assisted in the development of climate change policies, including the establishment of the California Climate Action Registry’s reporting and certification protocols. 

Mr. Kvale earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Aarhus in Denmark and his master’s degree in international relations from San Francisco State University.
