APX VCS Registry and Project Database

Integrity for Voluntary Carbon Markets

APX has been selected by the Voluntary Carbon Standard Association (VCSA), a leading international standards organization, to develop and manage a greenhouse gas transaction registry and centralized project database for the VCSA program.

The APX VCS Registry and Project Database support the VCSA objectives to provide transparency and credibility to the voluntary markets, as well as to enhance business, consumer, and regulatory confidence. This combined system will create trusted and tradable offset credits called Voluntary Carbon Units (VCUs), provide a clear chain of ownership for each VCU that prevents double-counting, and stimulate investments in emissions reductions and low carbon solutions.
